Dr. Bamisaiye Oluseyi
Mineral Exploration

Oluseyi Bamisaiye is a lecturer with the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State Nigeria. She holds PhD in Geology from the prestigious University of Pretoria, in South Africa. Oluseyi has some years of experience in both teaching and research in the area of Structural Geology, Remote sensing, Spatial analysis and 3D modelling of subsurface structures. She is a member of several professional organizations and promotes women in science. Oluseyi is a recipient of a number of awards and grants and a lead investigator in several geological researches within Africa. She has published in many reputable international journals. Her hobbies include traveling, viewing nature, reading and meeting people. Dr.(Mrs) Oluseyi Bamisaiye is happily married with children.

 

Dr. Oluwajana Oladotun
Petroleum Geosciences

Oladotun Afolabi Oluwajana is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Earth Sciences, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Nigeria. He received a B.Sc. degree in Geology from University of Ado Ekiti, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria (now Ekiti State University) in 2003 and a M.Sc. degree in Petroleum Geology from University of Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt, Nigeria, in 2009. He earned a Ph.D. in Petroleum Geology and Sedimentology from the University of Ibadan in 2017. His thesis titled “Integrated Basinal-Scale study on Shale Resource Systems in Anambra Basin and Calabar Flank, southeastern Nigeria” won the 2017 NMGS/Chevron Research Prize Award. He conducts research related to shale play, basin modelling, process sedimentology and biostratigraphic applications.

Dr. Atare Franz
Sport Management and Policy Development

Dr. Franz Atare is a senior lecturer in the Department of Physical and Health Education and also the Director of Sport at University of Uyo, Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He has spent 19years of uninterrupted teaching and research experience at tertiary level. He has over 40 publications and has attended over 30 conferences in and outside Nigeria. He had his PhD in 2007 from the University of Ibadan specializing in Recreation and Sports Management. More recently, his research focus is on inclusive sport. He invented the game called “Floormatics” that won National Research Fund grant from Tetfund in 2020. He is married and blessed with children.

Dr. Abubakar B. Aliyu
Medicinal Plant Research and Drug Development

Abubakar Babando Aliyu is a research scholar and Senior Lecturer with the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Nigeria. He obtained PhD (Organic) Chemistry from University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Durban, South Africa, where he specialized in the phytochemistry of some Vernonia flora from Nigeria as inhibitors of bacterial quorum sensing. He has been involved in higher education Teaching and Learning for the past sixteen (16) years across ABU, Zaria and Kaduna State University (KASU), Kaduna, Nigeria. His research interest span through Synthetic Organic and Natural Products Chemistry with focus in Drug Discovery collaborations targeting emerging infectious diseases, tropical neglected diseases (TND) and metabolic diseases. He has attended twenty (20) local and international conferences and workshops. Dr. Aliyu has published two (2) Book chapters, three (3) School Chemistry Books and fifty-two (52) research papers in local and high impact international journals. He is a member of Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Nigerian Society of Pharmacognosy (NSP) and Institute of Chartered Chemist of Nigeria (ICCON). He enjoys reading, travelling and mentoring young people. Dr. Aliyu is married and blessed with a child.

Associate Prof. Luke Jimu
Environmental Management

Luke Jimu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Natural Resources at Bindura University of Science Education in Zimbabwe. He holds a PhD in Forest Science from the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute (FABI) of the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Luke has over 15 years’ experience teaching and researching in the field of Forest Science. Luke has received several Research Grants including two recent ones from the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (European Union) and one from the Tree Fund (USA). He is a member of the Editorial Board to several Journals, such as Forestry (https://academic.oup.com/forestry) and a Reviewer to several Scopus listed Journals such as Forest Pathology and the African Journal of Ecology.
